So you know that hip-hop/rap/R&B historical musical about Alexander Hamilton? Yeah, it’s good. Like, insanely good. It’s always energetic, witty, funny, tense, and tear-jerkingly sad at times. So you should listen to it. It’s $20 on iTunes, $19 on Google Play, and included with Amazon Music if you have a Prime account. And it’s worth every penny. It’s 46 songs & 2 hours 20 minutes.

The World was Wide Enough will probably bring you to tears.

It’s hard to pick favorites, but The Schuyler Sisters is one of mine.

Kinja'd!!!

King George III’s appeal to the colonies, in the style of a deranged love ballad.

My friends and I have geeked the fuck out since it debuted last year. I tried to convince my friend (several times, in fact) to incorporate the opening to “Satisfied” in her speech when our other friends got married. Unfortunately, she declined.

It’s actually sparked my interest in musicals.

Favorites? Oh god.

Well, let’s start with the Cabinet Battles, and the whole Guns and Ships / History / Battle of Yorktown, and then the Washington On Your Side / One Last Time pair, and then, well, The Election of 1800 is just amazing.

I’ve listened to this album more than any other this year, by a couple of factors. (and I listen to a lot of music). It’s possibly the best cast recording ever.

Weirdly, the majority of people around me, most of whom love musicals, aren’t as enamored as I am (except my ex-wife, but she and I saw eye to eye on music... so I can’t be too shocked by that).
